It’s hands-on and homemade! Learn to make fruit jelly and how to start a garden. Registration required.
Get ready for a delicious journey into the world of homemade food preservation that combines fun, learning, and a dash of sweetness! For this culinary adventure, we’ll make grape jelly with directions from Ascension Parish Master Gardener Ora Jones. It’ll be a fun way to learn the science of what happens when fruit, sugar, and heat combine. Cooking together fosters teamwork and communication and creates bonds and lasting memories with newfound friends. Each attendee will take home a small jar of jelly as well as cucumber seeds they planted to start their own home garden.
