The library’s Partners Advancing Literacy (PAL) program allows individuals, families, companies, and organizations to show their commitment to the community by sponsoring library programs, resources, and capital projects. Sponsorships may be made in memory of a loved one or in honor of the donor. Current PAL sponsorship opportunities include the 2024 Summer Reading Program, Excel Adult High School scholarships, and the library’s current building program. Sponsorship levels are listed below. Summer Reading Program sponsors will have their company/organization logo or name on promotional materials. Capitol project sponsors will have the opportunity to have their name on the selected donor wall and the signage of the selected area, dependent on donation level and availability. All gifts of $500 or more will be recognized on the Donor Wall unless the donor wishes to remain anonymous. Naming opportunities are available on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to the approval of the Library Board of Control. All contributions are tax-deductible as allowed by law. Contact Tyana Daquano at 225-647-8924 or communications@myapl.org for more information. Capital Project Sponsorships | Event Program and Resource Sponsorships |

Summer Reading Program 2024: Read, Renew, RepeatKids who participate in summer reading programs maintain their skills and are better prepared to start school in the fall. Summer reading is critical, not only for helping kids maintain learning while school is out, but also for fostering social-emotional development, discovering the joy of stories, and elevating the importance of lifelong learning. Private and corporate funding provides the incentive prizes, supplies for arts & crafts and science experiences, and helps pay for professional program providers who bring quality experiences like animal encounters, storytellers, science educators and others to each of APL’s locations. Excel Adult High SchoolExcel Adult High School has an academic focus that helps adults not only receive their diploma but prepare for what comes next—whether that's college, a promotion at work, or a new career. With this program, you can help adults in your community finally realize their educational and career goals—and gain the confidence to go after their dreams. How does it work? Patrons 21 years and older who are interested apply to the program through the library. Once participants are accepted and enroll, they will have 24/7 access to self-paced classes. If academic support is needed, they can schedule time for live, unlimited online tutoring. After completing the program, they earn an accredited high school diploma (not a GED). If you’re interested in sponsoring a scholarship, please contact Tyana Daquano at 225-647-8924 or communications@myapl.org for more information. Sponsorships: $1,700 |
