Activity RoomWe’ll read Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert, sing songs in English and Spanish, explore colors and flowers, and create a colorful craft.
At Amigos Time, Spanish and English languages are intertwined. This month, we’ll explore flowers, gardens, and butterflies as we read Planting a Rainbow by Lois Ehlert. Through stories, music, and simple movement, children will practice colors and nature words in both languages. We’ll finish by creating a colorful butterfly craft inspired by gardens and nature.
En Amigos Time, los idiomas español e inglés se entrelazan. Este mes exploraremos flores, jardines y mariposas mientras leemos Planting a Rainbow de Lois Ehlert. A través de cuentos, música y movimientos sencillos, los niños practicarán colores y palabras relacionadas con la naturaleza en ambos idiomas. Terminaremos creando una colorida manualidad de mariposa inspirada en los jardines y la naturaleza.

Gonzales
Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
