Step into an enchanted forest where fairies, magic, and mistaken identities turn true love upside down! The Louisiana Shakespeare Company presents this interactive introduction to A Midsummer Night's Dream, one of William Shakespeare's most beloved comedies. Through lively storytelling, young audiences will discover a whimsical world that brings one of literature's greatest stories to life.
As part of its mission, the Louisiana Shakespeare Company aims to present Shakespeare’s works to youth at an early age in a way that is fun and engaging, and encourages their curiosity about the plays, the people, and the time period.

Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
