Join us for a stellar opportunity to enjoy the night sky!

Discover the beauty of the October night sky in this engaging astronomy program.  Don Weinell of the Baton Rouge Astronomical Society (BRAS) and other amateur astronomy members provide large-scale telescopes for anyone to use to explore the night sky. Learn how to identify bright stars, constellations, and planets visible this month.

About the Location

Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
