November’s Pick: Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir — Ryland Grace wakes up alone on a spaceship with no memory of who he is, how he got there, or why everyone on Earth is counting on him. As his memories return, he discovers that he’s been sent on a desperate mission to save humanity—and he may be the only person who can do it. Along the way, he encounters a discovery that changes everything he thought he knew about his mission, his planet, and what it means to be alone in space. Full of science, mystery, humor, and some seriously unexpected friendship, Project Hail Mary won the 2022 Audie Award for Science Fiction and the 2022 Goodreads Choice Award for Science Fiction.
And yes—there will be snacks.
Call (225) 622-3339 to register and reserve your spot.
Note: While our book picks are curated for teens, parents may choose to review selections to make sure they’re a good fit for their reader. Questions? Contact the Galvez Library.
