August’s Pick: Threads That Bind by Kika Hatzopoulou – In a city where descendants of the Greek Fates can weave, draw, or cut the threads of life itself, a young investigator is pulled into a string of brutal, impossible murders. As she hunts the truth alongside a mysterious ally tied to her by fate, she uncovers a conspiracy that could unravel everything she loves. This title was selected as the 2023 CYBILS Award for Young Adult Speculative Fiction, a Goodreads Choice Award Nominee for Young Adult Fantasy & Science Fiction the same year, and a 2024 Locus Award Nominee for First Novel.
Note: While our book picks are curated for teens, parents may choose to review selections to make sure they’re a good fit for their reader. Questions? Contact the Galvez Library.
