Beat the heat and bring the whole family to the library for some fun when we screen Moana (2016, 1h 43m, rated PG). The library will provide a comfortable atmosphere, popcorn, and drinks.
Set in ancient Polynesia, the film tells the story of Moana, the strong-willed daughter of a coastal village chief, who is chosen by the ocean itself to reunite a mystical relic with the goddess Te Fiti. When a disaster strikes her island, Moana sets sail in search of Maui, a legendary demigod, in hopes of returning the relic to Te Fiti and saving her people.
*Movies rated PG are suitable for general viewing, although parents and guardians should be aware that some scenes may not be suitable for children.

Our Gonzales location was built in 1980 under the direction of Earline Decoteau, Director and serves as our Main Library location. It was expanded & renovated in 1996, 1998, and 2011, under the direction of Angelle Deshautelles, Director.
