Learn the fundamentals of creating original prints using rubber carving blocks, basic carving tools, and hand stamping techniques.
Bekah Duplechin, owner of Art Academy in Prairieville, will guide the class through designing a simple image, safely carving into rubber blocks, and experimenting with ink application and layering to create multiple prints. This workshop focuses on intentional mark making, pattern, and repetition, while encouraging exploration and creative freedom.
All materials will be provided, and you will leave with your carved stamp and a collection of handmade prints to take home.
